Barcode Font Foundry Since 1992
Azalea Software is a type foundry specializing in machine-readable fonts that create barcodes like UPC, Code 128, Code 39, Interleaved 2 of 5, OCR-A/OCR-B, and other types of symbols. As a font foundry, we specialize in machine-readable symbols like barcodes and OCR (optical character recognition), and the software necessary to integrate our fonts into popular Windows and OS X applications.

While some look at a barcode and see an image, we look at one and see a chunk of text formatted in a symbol font. To us, barcodes are like a string of dingbats.
Our font catalog is arranged by barcode symbology. For example, the fonts in C128Tools create Code 128 and GS1-128 barcodes, UPCTools has fonts that print UPC, ISBN-13, EAN, JAN, and ISSN symbols, etc.
Jerry learned to set type using an exacto knife, a waxer, a light table, and blue pencils all fed by a Photon typesetter that ate 8 level punched paper tape. Yes, that long ago. We use Fontographer and our foundry tag is AZLS
Our fonts come in both TrueType and Type 1 format with other formats available upon request. We also do modifications and custom font work as well. Founded in 1992, Azalea Software is located in Seattle, WA and is the only Aldus spin-off left standing. We love barcodes! Let us help you enjoy them too.
